Week 34: 24 August 2014

Playing with my macro lens again. These flower buds of a garlic chive made me think of sweets packaged in a hart shaped box.

Week 32: August 10, 2014

Today has been a day with a lot of wind, rain and some sunny spells. During one of the dry spells I went out and made this photo of the reflections of the clouds in the channel.

Week 30: 27 July 2014

This weekend we went for a hike on a moor close by. The heather is starting to bloom and there were gazillions of mosquito’s. But still it was a very nice walk.

Week 25: 22 June, 2014

This lupine made me think of the popular children’s game ‘four in a row’. Only it is three in a row for the lupine.

Week 24: June 15, 2014

In my garden there is this large shrub with purple flowers. Come Autumn, the flowers will have been converted to purple berries. The purple of the berries is more intense than the purple of the flowers and they look great. But at the moment the flowers are blooming and today the shrub was brimming with busy bees. Most of them had already collected a lot of pollen and this one looked like it was wearing yellow headphones.

Week 22: 1 June, 2014

This was a long weekend for us with Ascension Day on Thursday and having Friday off as well. We went to the beach where I took this image. It is a long exposure image, 20 seconds long, taken towards the sunset. Those five sea gulls stayed in the same spot for the full 20 seconds the exposure took, only looking around them now and then. I like how the colors of the (almost) sunset turned out.

Week 20: 18 May, 2014

In my garden there is a very small pond but it is big enough to hold some Yellow Iris’. They are flowering at the moment and apart from us it is the bees that like this best.
